I found a great video on Youtube via AutoSpies.com. The video follows the Ferrari 458 Italia for an entire 5 minutes! I especially like the part 3 minutes into the movie, when it shows the 458 picking up in speed! What’s great about this video is you can hear the sweet sound of it’s engine the entire time. Reports suggest that Ferrari will be unveiling it’s “green” incentives this coming March, at the Geneva International Motor Show. Speculations have reported that the Italian Car Manufacturer will reveal a hybrid 599 GTB there. (more…)
Yesterday in Marnello, Scuderia Ferrari introduced it’s new simulator to the world. Unveiled at a ceremony in Gestione Sportia, where the machine will be stored, people that attended the benefit include Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa and Stefano Domenicali, principal driver of the Scuderia Team. (more…)
Scuderia Ferrari, a division of Ferrari concerned with racing and is renown for being the most successful and oldest F1 racing team in history, announced on December 18th, 2009, that they will be starting up a “Ferrari Driver Academy.” The academy’s goal is to recruit young racing drivers across the globe, with aims to prepare them for the F1 Racing atmosphere. Led by Chief Track Engineer for Ferrari’s F1 team, Luca Baldisserri, he aims to not only wants to prepare them in terms of racing, but also wants to shape all recruits’ personal and professional background to fit that of an F1 Ferrari Racing team member. Ferarri has just revealed it’s newest addition to the family, the P540 Superfast Aperta! The Car was specially created for Edward Walson, commonly known as the son of the cable television inventor. Ferrari stated that the car was manufactured in Maranello, where the designer, Pininfarina, worked closely with the client, “in each stage of its development.”
I thought this was a good story that may have slipped through the cracks last month. Ferrari auctioned off one of their Ferrari 599, China Edition on November 4th, 2009. The final bid was 1.2 Million Euros (approximately $1.8 Million US)! (more…)
I found a great video featuring all styles of Ferraris and famous Ferrari drivers (e.g. Michael Schumacher) racing through the United Arab Emirates, to ultimately arrive at the Yas Marina Circuit. There they watch cars practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which took place on last month on November 1st.

Only Five of these beauties are going to be built, thus marking the end of a beautiful relationship between Ferrari and Zagato, design and engineering consultant responsible for such memorable Italian automobiles as the 575 GTZ (2006) and 250 GTZ (1956). Selling for more than £1.6 million each, the 550 GTZ Barchetta will be the last custom job before Ferrari takes all future customizations in-house.
